Guest photo sharing FAQ
Straight answers to the questions people ask before they use GuestCam.io: how guests upload, how the private host link works, and what the host controls.
Getting started
How does GuestCam work?
You create an event, get a QR code and event code, and share them with guests. They upload directly from their phone, and everything is collected in one private place.
Do guests need an app?
No. Guests upload in the browser with no app, no login, and no account creation.
Sharing
How do I share the upload page with guests?
Most hosts place the QR code on tables, signs, or printed cards. You can also send the event link or event code directly in a message.
Can guests use the event code without the QR code?
Yes. If they do not scan the QR code, they can enter the event code manually and reach the same upload page.
Privacy
Are the photos private?
Yes. The guest upload page is shared with guests, but the host view is accessed through a private host link and is not public by default.
Can I protect the event with a code?
Yes. When you create the event, you choose an event access code that can be shared with the people who should be able to open the event page.
Plans
How much does it cost to create an event?
You can start for free. The paid plan is designed for longer storage, video uploads, and more flexibility.
How long are photos stored?
Storage depends on the selected plan. The expiry date is shown clearly once the event has been created.
Downloads
Can the host download everything at once?
Yes. The host can download all collected uploads from the private host view instead of asking guests to send photos afterwards.
Can guests upload videos too?
Yes, depending on the plan. The free plan is more limited, while the paid plan supports a more flexible upload setup.
