Getting started
How does GuestCam work?
You create an event, get a QR code and event code, and share them with guests. They upload directly from their phone, and everything is collected in one private place.
Do guests need an app?
No. Guests upload in the browser with no app, no login, and no account required.
Sharing
How do I share the upload page with guests?
Most hosts place the QR code on tables, signs, or printed cards. You can also send the upload page link or event code directly in a message.
Can guests use the event code without the QR code?
Yes. If they don't scan the QR code, they can enter the event code manually and reach the same upload page.
Privacy
Are the photos private?
Yes. The upload page is shared with your guests, but the host view is only reachable through a private host link — it isn't public by default.
Can I protect the event with a code?
Yes. When you create the event, you set a PIN (also called the event access code) — separate from the event code guests use to reach the upload page — and share it only with the people who should be able to open the host view.
Plans
How much does it cost to create an event?
The free plan costs nothing: up to 20 photo uploads per guest and 7 days of storage. The paid plan is a one-time $19.99 per event fee — no subscription — and adds unlimited photo and video uploads (videos up to 200 MB each), storage for up to 6 months, and AI photo tagging.
How long are photos stored?
Photos are stored for 7 days on the free plan and up to 6 months on the paid plan (one-time $19.99). The exact expiry date is shown as soon as you create the event.
Media
Can the host download everything at once?
Yes. The host can download all collected uploads from the private host view instead of asking guests to send photos afterward.
Can guests upload videos too?
Yes, on the paid plan, guests can upload videos up to 200 MB each alongside photos. The free plan supports photos only.
Use cases
What kind of events does this work for?
It's most often used for weddings, baby showers, christenings, confirmations, birthdays, graduations, and corporate parties. The idea is always the same: make it effortless for guests to share photos right away.
Can I use it as a digital disposable camera?
Yes, that's one of the most common uses. Many hosts use it as a digital alternative to disposable cameras, since guests already have their phones with them.

What if a guest has a problem?
Most issues are solved by scanning the QR code again or entering the event code manually. If it still doesn't work, you or the guest can contact support.
